SimuMan and SimuTeach

SimuMan

SimuMan is a software solution that uses 3D technology for the training of technicians working in the field of railway maintenance.

The fundamental characteristics of SimuMan allow any user to:

  • view in 3D mode and animate a Safety Organ (OdS), such as the Pneumatic Brake System of a train
  • view in 3D mode and animate every single component of a OdS, such as the Distributor (See Figures)
  • provide the assembly and disassembly procedures of each individual safety device in interactive mode and view each of its individual components (springs, screws, etc.)
  • provide digital tools (screwdrivers) for the implementation of the procedures.

The figures shown concern the sequence of activities to produce a 3D object.

The steps are:
- identification of the object to be represented in 3D
- acquire the real dimensions of the object necessary for the realization in 3D

SimuTeach

SimuTeach is an interactive training software solution that can be used in both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) formats.

What is the difference between SimuMan and SimuTeach?
The field of training is varied and many topics can be covered. Each of these can be taught in a more or less specific way, depending on the training path that has been chosen. SimuTeach was born directly from SimuMan, but unlike the latter, which is more focused on the dynamics related to maintenance, SimuTeach's main objective is to offer complete training in various fields, offering the possibility of numerous topics that can be treated in a more or less in-depth way according to the trainee’s needs or the training path.

In the images below, you can see for example how SimuTeach 2D can provide a simple and clear explanation in this representation.
